Zig Ziglar is one of the greatest people that ever lived, in my opinion. As I started off 2016, one of my commitments was to stop listening to fiction audio books in the car and start listening to motivational and self improvement books. Therein came my title for this post, “Blame It On Zig Ziglar!”
After listening to Zig all week while driving to appointments I came home one night “On FIRE”. Had a couple of glasses of wine with a friend I had not seen for way to long and when I got home I did not stop talking, evidently, for about 4 hours! Well my husband, Magnus, did talk back a lot but at Midnight he had finally had enough and got upset with me for not “slowing down”
It hurt my feelings a little and when I woke was trying to figure out “what got in to me” and it hit me-I was “On FIRE” with passion and a drive to make changes and to get excited about life to a higher extent. I am always excited about life but listening to Zig made me realize that I needed to do more for others and by helping others get what they want I will obtain what I want and need as a person.
So, Zig, you caused a ruckus in my life this week but that is OK—- because you helped me reignite a Fire in my Belly to change things around me. To get back to being Passionate and not “sit on the sidelines and watch things go past me”. And with that my friends, as Zig would say, “the View from the Top is absolutely Magnificent” Won’t you Join me?
