There are times when we are lost or don’t have the answers. In those moments embrace it and be OK with saying “I Don’t Know”.
I don’t know what to do.
I don’t know the answer to the question
I don’t know why I don’t really give a crap right now-Well that one might be a little strong but I have come to the understanding that I don’t really know the answers and I am OK with stepping away from my own issues and other people’s issues. As a Serial Fixer this is a tough lesson to learn and it takes practice, practice, practice.
We don’t have to have all of the answers or get it right every single time. The great thing is that when we do throw up our hands and say “enough and I don’t know” the answers come and often times the problem solves itself-OR Just imagine those around us solve the issue because we would not do it for them! Wow what a relief—then you and others realize they have the ability to tackle issues without involving you every time.
Please don’t take me wrong-I love helping, I love knowing and I love people but there is a point in our society that people are going to need to take accountability for themselves.
A wonderful person that I know wrote,”The land of I don’t know is a land of spaciousness. It is a still and silent place where we listen rather than act.” That really hit home for me and I would love to go to that place more often. I am learning to do so, and hope you will too. Join me in the land of “I don’t know”. It is beautiful, peaceful and calming.
